Psychological Assessment
A psychological assessment is helpful in identifying your child's strengths and weaknesses and will lead to recommendations for both academic and behavioural intervention. Suitable for children and teenagers, an assessment can be used to assist in planning your child's school program, to identify needs for special services in school, and to help you access resources in your community. Results can include a full report, psychogram and recommendations, along with explanations by our psychologists.
Psychoeducational assessment
A psychoeducational assessment is conducted using a variety of tools to develop a complete perspective of your child's academic skills and cognitive abilities. It is important to determine not just how much your child has learned, but how he or she learns and goes about solving problems. Through psychoeducational assessment, we can understand the overall condition of a child and cater to their needs better by understanding conditions they might have, such as learning difficulties, ADD/ADHD, ASD or behavioural problems. Its recommendations also let us design educational programs and interventions appropriate to each child's development.
School readiness assessment
A school readiness assessment evaluates the readiness of developmental aspects and basic learning skills which will support the child to develop their literacy skills and follow the classroom routine in primary school.
Social skills assessment
Researchers have indicated that social skills deficits in early childhood are related to poor academic performance and may be predictive of social adjustment problems. Identifying your child's needs in developing their social skills is important to support them in performing optimally both inside and outside school. The purpose of the social skills assessment is to gather comprehensive data on how an individual functions in social settings, including behavioural performance, the use of skills in situations of interest, and the consequences of those behaviours.
